Hello! 

300 Miles complete!! 

It’s been a tough week but I’ve did it... took me extra as had to be self isolated for a week but I’ve did it!

Cathays Inclusive Youth Provision (IYP) is based at Cathays Community Centre its  predominantly young people with learning disabilities and Special is Educational  Needs in Cardiff. We currently have approximately140 members. 

The programme already  includes a broad range of activities and projects, including art drama, music and sport. Trips to places of interest and leisure facilities take place on a daily basis during school holidays. The needs and wishes of members inform the programme and peer led projects are encouraged, qualified youth workers are on hand to provide leadership and support but this money will help provide when this is over to bring it people to the centre to help young people talk about mental health sessions, provide them with the care and support they need but also enable us to be at these young people to places where they can experience things of a lifetime for example day trips/ over night stays/ meals out. (When it’s safe to do so) 

Cathays is a community centre very close to my heart. I’ve worked for this centre for the last three years on Monday evenings and for The inclusive youth provision along side many amazing staff/volunteers and lots of young people who’ve thrived into amazing people. Please support this amazing place to get through this!  

Once this challenge has been completed I will be setting my self a new challenge on a new page which will be decided how much I cycle, by the young people I work with!
