We do like doing a fundraiser for Sunshine and Smiles (https://sunshineandsmiles.org.uk) as they are a lovely charity who do great things. Having done a 10k and the Yorkshire 3 Peaks a couple of times it was time to expand our horizons.
So after a bit of cajoling, threats, and begging we've decided to take on the Cleveland Way. This is a 9 day walk covering 109 miles, starting in Helmsley and finishing in Filey. We'll be carrying all our own gear and camping along the way. The noble volunteers are:
Bryan Perry
Gary Heslewood
Steve Clarke
Dave Heslewood
We're all young, uber-fit, and love nothing more than camping in a one person tent on a soggy moor. And as you might have guessed none of that is true!
The walk starts on the 9th of July and we're hoping for nice weather, good company, no injuries, and hopefully finishing in Filey on the 17th July having raised a couple of quid for a top local charity. If you can help with a donation we'd be ever so grateful :)
