On May 10th 2026 my daughter and I will be abseiling down the National Lift Tower that sits over the Northampton Saints ground. This tower is the tallest permanent abseil tower in the world...standing at a magnificent 400ft tall. It is considered an 'extreme' abseil...I am new to this lark. Its my first extreme abseil at aged 78. Childs play I hear you say. Others have called it folly. Just doing my bit for the ROF26 events and supporting some wonderful causes , through our connection with MKRUFC and the ROF26 team.
Mor on the tower here : Extreme Abseiling at The National Tower - The National Abseil Centre
We are supporting :
Willen Hospice : Willen Hospice | Compassionate Care for the Community
MND/4ED :MND Association | Fighting motor neurone disease
C-R-Y : Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)
and some new charities, along with our local rugby club.
Please support my activity with a modest donation and some abusive comments. Signed photos of me on my extreme descent will be available for a small fee after the event.
