ACSR Cycle Hub is the new ambitious group of volunteers leading the development of some very exciting cycling programmes in Auchterarder.
CWAS Auchterarder Chapter
Tackling isolation by providing trishaw rides throughout the community, to provide access to the town and the town's core paths and greenspaces
Local Led Rides
Fostering community connections and encouraging participation in sport and recreation (cycling) by co-ordinating a series of cycles to local points of interest
Riding Skills
Delivering programmes which improve the skill level of local riders, for example Bikeability training
Technical Skills' Academy
Providing instruction and support around a series of skills required to enable everyone to safely use their own bike e.g. basic bike maintenance, carrying out trailside repairs etc
Mountain Bike Skills' Area and Pump
Supporting ACSR Green Spaces Working Group to ensure that the two new cycling facilities (the Mountain Bike Skills' Area and the Pump Track) are fit for purpose and provide a great experience for users of all ages and all abilities
All these activities are being led by a group of passionate volunteers. ACSR Cycle Hub has been fortunate to receive some external funding support to enable the programmes to develop to this point. However, your support could also made a huge difference to quantity and quality of activities ACSR Cycle Hub is able to offer locally - all based around making Auchterarder a more enjoyable place to live, while encouraging everyone to stay local for their sport and recreation.
