*** UPDATE: I'm now due to run this on 3 October 2021. Covid-19 meant I was unable to run this as planned in 2020, so now a year older, heavier and more unfit, I'll be making this the year I get to run the London Marathon ***
2020 was the year that saw me reach a milestone birthday in March, so I'd chosen this year for my first (and probably only) attempt at running the London Marathon.
Back in sunny July 2019 I was at Warwick University for my employer, The Access Group's, annual Staff Day. During the day the Access Charity of the Year was announced as National Deaf Children's Society. I couldn't help but be moved by Henry's Story and the work the charity does and pretty pleased that we were in a darkened auditorium when the video below was shown. Please take a moment to see for yourself.

I got the news in December 2019 that I've got a place to run which is great news, however since July I've been suffering with a worsening knee condition that has limited the amount of training I've been able to do. I've recently seen a knee specialist and have a plan to get me to the start and finish line. It won't be easy but I guess it's not supposed to be, so time to get on with it!
I'd be grateful for any donations to help me reach my target.
Many thanks.
