Over the last 18 months I have totally fallen in love with this place - the UK's oldest Lido, the Cleveland Pools in Bath. This historic pool is currently being restored and is scheduled to re-open in summer 2022 after a long campaign by a dedicated team of incredible volunteers. I'm joining this fundraising challenge so that, as well as the time I give as a Trustee, I go that extra mile to support this project reach its end. I'm not a cold water swimmer and I will be stepping massively out of my comfort zone as I try to complete the 25 Advent(ure) Challenges, which fit within 5 themes: swim, chilly, story time..., nature and wildcard. But I am doing this because I can't wait to visit the pools when they re-open. I know it will be an unbelievable new community venue for the people of Bath and we've all heard about how great outdoor swimming is for the mind and body. So please, help me to help return this Lido to its former glory.*
