On May 26th this year, I will be taking part in the Edinburgh marathon and raising money for Type1Kidz, a project that supports children, young people and their families and friends living with type 1 diabetes in the North East of England. This project has provided invaluable support to members of my family over the past year, so is a cause I deeply care for.
Adapting to life with Type 1 diabetes requires significant lifestyle changes, that can be challenging to navigate alone. Type1Kidz provides a safe environment to support this process whilst providing new and exciting opportunities for those involved.
I am very proud to support this cause as I take on the challenge of my first marathon and appreciate any donations, no matter the size, to this worthy cause!
