On 16 May, I’m taking on the iconic Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge – a 24-mile hike across the stunning Yorkshire Dales, climbing the three highest peaks: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. That’s over 38km of walking and more than 1,500 metres of climbing, all in under 12 hours.
I’m taking on this challenge with my amazing colleagues to raise money for PAPYRUS through the Emperor Foundation – a cause that means a great deal to all of us. Two and a half years ago, we lost a colleague to suicide, and this is our way of coming together, remembering them, and supporting the vital work PAPYRUS does to help prevent young suicide and offer hope to those struggling.
While I’d say I’m fairly active, this is definitely going to push me out of my comfort zone. Twelve hours of hiking, unpredictable British weather, and three very big hills - I'm sure I'll be feeling every step and every blister.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much. Your support will help PAPYRUS continue their life-saving work and ensure fewer families, loved ones, and workplaces have to go through the pain of losing someone too soon.
Thank you for cheering me on (and for helping me power up those hills!) 💛
