Hi everyone

I am taking on something I’ve never done before. On Sunday 6th April I’ll be running 13.1 miles, a half marathon! Not only will I be running round London passing some of the most famous and iconic landmarks, I’ll be doing it to raise money for the wonderful charity Stevenage Community Trust.

My daughter Graces best friends mum Sam works for this charity, and asked me if I would take on one of their spots in the London Landmarks Half Marathon, in which to raise some vital funds for their charity. I was honoured and decided to take on the challenge.

Stevenage Community Trust is an independent charity that provides funding and support to local charitable organisations, community groups and individuals who find themselves in crisis. The primary benefit of the charity for the community is that they are able to react quickly and efficiently to requests for help for urgent cases of hardship throughout the year. Heating grants, hardship grants and gift cards are given to the poorest families with children in our community. Grants are also given to a wide range of community projects, helping to bring people together and improve well being. These are just a few examples of the way in which the charity helps and supports our community.

The charity totally depends on donations from generous businesses and people. This is why your sponsorship is so important. All of your generous donations will go to supporting our local community in the best possible way.
