Nick is autistic and cannot read or write, but has a passion for growing fruit and veg, for fresh air and supporting mental health. He has built a composting unit, now long troughs to grow vegetables. We will then get seeds and plants for young autistic lads to plant and learn to grow their own veg and then to cook them.
Obtaining pots and planting herbs for the patio is part two of the project.
Richard who has health issues has joined Nick and they say being outdoors, having a creative focus and support is a great boosts to mental health. Other volunteers are following progress through for broadcast on SWINDON 105.5, keeping all up to date. All supporters will get an on-air mention.
We welcome calls or visits.
