Brighton & Hove Hockey Club women 12hr Running relay.
Building on the success of some running relay’s over Lockdown 2.0, set up by Larna Pantrey-Mayer. Which was enjoyed by everyone who took part! An idea was put out about doing it more often and for charity.
So on the 20th Dec a group will set be taking part in a 12hr relay. Where they will complete either a 5k or 10k and then pass the “baton” over the the next runner (socially distancing hand over) The route will be round the roads near Hove Park and have 23 runners taking part.

The Clock Tower Sanctuary was chosen not only as a local charity, but also the impact being homeless has on young people. Being homeless means not having a safe, secure and private place to call your own. About a third of the young people are rough sleeping, however this is just the tip of the iceberg. Many more are considered to be part of the 'hidden homeless' . So they might be sleeping on a floor or 'sofa-surfing'; living in a temporary hostel, or somewhere else that isn't a proper and permanent home.
With what is going on in the world at the moment and many people affected financial because of this, and Christmas being a more vulnerable time of the year.  They suspect numbers will rise, for those who are homeless across all ages.
