After 18months off from various fundraising goals and challenges I decided it was time to get back in the saddle!
This year I am getting back on my bike to take on not only one 100 miler but TWO! I will be cycling both the Ride London 100 in May and the LCL 100 in July. I am also trying out a Ladies only 60 mile Sportive in hilly Yorkshire in July.
To add to the list, I am jumping out the comfort zone and giving a Triathlon ago, starting with a relay triathlon in April then 2 full sprint triathlon on the 4th and 25th September.
Although I love nothing more than a pedal round the countryside on a sunny day I think these challenges will push me out of my comfort zone in different ways! The weather can no longer be an excuse not to get out, and the hill avoidance will have to stop!
Although I have fundraised for Mind in the past, I think mental health is more important than ever as we navigate a new normal post covid pandemic which is why I have chosen to raise funds for the Blurt Foundation.
I found out about this foundation from the small local business that I buy my coffee beans from. Just from the website you can see how much of an impact they have and how passionate they are about helping those struggling with depression. When researching mental health charities I couldn't believe that they didn't feature in any searches so I would love to take this opportunity to share them far and wide so that anybody who may be in need of them knows where to reach out.
As I clock up my miles, any spare pennies towards this fantastic cause would be hugely appreciated!
Thanks,
Beth :)
