Teams from around the Bradford region will once again converge on Roberts Park on Saturday 22nd June 2019 to Race The Dragon in Day two (The Lord Mayor's Championship) of the annual 3-day Bradford Dragon Boat Festival raising money for charity and helping to make a difference to many lives.
All sponsorship raised for this event will support the 2019 Bradford Lord Mayor's Appeal which is split equally between Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice and Nightstop Bradford.
Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice provides expert palliative care, advice and support for people across Airedale, Wharfedale, Craven and North and West Bradford, who are living with life-limiting conditions, as well as supporting their families.
Bradford Nightstop's emergency scheme provides accommodation for homeless young people in the homes of vetted and trained volunteers. Homeless people are prevented from rough sleeping until their longer-term solution is resolved.
