On the 17th of September this year I will be putting my feet to pedals and embarking on a 4 day killer bicycle ride from Croydon to Amsterdam. A total of 320 miles in the saddle. 

I am taking on this challenge in loving memory of a dear friend Rhys Barnes. Rhys lost his battle with mental health issues at the end of 2024 when he took his own life at the age of just 21 years old. 

Suicide is the number 1 killer in men under the age of 50. 11 men a day. 4,000+ men a year. These are statistics that sicken me and if I can have anything to do with even one prevention it’ll all be worth while!

I’m setting myself an ambitious target of raising £5000 to support a small, local organisation, called Men’s Minds Matter who specialise in mens suicide intervention & prevention. I would really appreciate if you could spare a few pounds, or many pounds, to help me reach this goal and save a life of a young man.
