Brixworth U9s Lockdown Lands End to John o’Groats
Due to the new national lockdown, Brixworth Juniors under 9s have found ourselves without their beloved football!, rather than fill their spare time in front of a screen they decided to do something that would be fun, keep them active and perhaps help some people in the local community less fortunate than ourselves.
So between our two team the Panthers and Jaguars we are aiming to walk the 874 miles between Lands End to John o Groats, we’ve calculated that each of our 29 players and coaches will need to walk the equivalent to 1 mile each per day for the duration of lockdown.
It would be great for both the players and the Re:store Northampton they seeks to support vulnerable people within the Borough of Northampton, through practical means. The charity desires to offer people a hand-up rather than just a hand out, and does this through equipping individuals and families with skills for independent living.

*Brixworth U9s Lockdown Lands End to John o’ Groats challenge* Total Miles: 813 Rules: Walk, Run or Cycle after school or at weekends, Parent and sibling miles can count to total. The challenge begins today and we need to aim for 1 mile per family per day. In an aim to raise money for a local charity and also keep our under 9 players fit and healthy in both mind and body, we decided to take up a challenge to walk from one end of the UK to the other!!
