Every child deserves a safe, fun, and inspiring place to go after school. At Cathays Community Centre, we run free Year 6 After-school clubs with our local Primary Schools — giving them the chance to explore music, cooking, sport, art, and more.
Our sessions are packed with activities that spark creativity and build confidence:
🎸 Live music & band jamming – guitars, drums, mics, and performance opportunities.
🎹 Music production – hands-on experience creating tracks.
🍳 Cooking & food prep – learning skills for life (and enjoying tasty results!).
⚽ Park activities & games events.
This year we have welcomed back lat year's Year 6s to a new Juniors Youthclub every Thursday 6-8pm. Continuing this relationship and support as young people transition into High School is very important to us! These young people are our volunteers and staff of tomorrow and we are committed to giving them opportunities to broaden their horizons at the Centre. But to keep these clubs running, we really need your support. We currently don't have funding to run the Year 7 Juniors until the end of the academic year and we haven't had funding to start this year's after-school clubs!
