Can you help us?
Hi! We are Tilly, Alexis, Lamarr and Jacob and we are from Central Youth Theatre in Wolverhampton.
From the 26th of July to the 9th of August we will be taking part in a project called HumARTS in Antalya Turkey funded by Erasmus, in which we will use different art forms to explore the topic of Human Rights. We will work with a group of young people from Denmark and Turkey as well as a group of up to 15 young refugees, now living in Turkey, the majority of whom are Syrian.
As part of the project, we will we deliver and participate in creative workshops that explore three articles of Human Rights including; Freedom of Movement, Freedom of Speech and All Humans are Free and Equal, sharing stories and experiences of all the international participants. We will explore these topics using the art forms of drama, music and Ebru.
Due to the project taking place in Antalya (a popular tourist destination) during the peak of the summer, the funding allocated to us for travel to and from Turkey does not fully cover the cost of the flights. Therefore, we need to raise an additional £500 to meet the shortfall.
