Castlefield Forum x Bridging the Gap- #togetherthiswinter
This winter, the Forum would like to extend our community spirit and help those in need during the winter months.
At our quarterly meeting on the 28th November, we will welcome Bridging the Gap to tell our members about their amazing work in south Manchester, in particular in Hulme.
You may not know that the Castlefield Conservation area extends into Hulme and we think it would be great to show support to our neighbours.
Sadly, at this time of year, Food donations are a huge priority for the charity and we will be arranging drop off points across our neighbourhood for items to be left. Please check our social media for information on what items are needed and where to donate.
If you are able to help with a few pounds… please see the message below from the charity on what they will use the money for:
"As we enter the winter months, we need your help more than ever. The rising cost of living is leaving many local families struggling to afford to feed themselves and pay their bills with nowhere else left to turn. If you are able to help us support those in our area who need it most, your donations will be greatly appreciated. As well as providing emergency food supplies, we are providing our service users with winter warmer packs, containing hats, gloves, and a scarf, Christmas meals in a bag, care hampers, and Christmas toy sacks. We can only do this with your continued support so please help us come #TogetherThisWinter."
