I’m Chris, and I’m taking on a challenge unlike anything I’ve done before. While I’m used to competing in Hyrox events, this time I’m pushing myself to the limit in the Rasselbock Backyard Ultra challenge on 21st September —a race with no fixed end. The premise is simple but brutal: I’ll run a 4.19-mile loop every hour, on the hour, until I physically can’t continue. The event could last 10 hours or 80, and the winner is the last runner standing.

I’m doing this to raise funds for a cause close to my heart: The Principle Trust Children's Charity. As a proud patron, I’m dedicated to supporting their mission of providing free week-long respite breaks to children who are disadvantaged, underprivileged, or disabled. These holidays offer struggling families a chance to escape their daily challenges, strengthen their bonds, and create lasting memories.

Child poverty in Yorkshire is at an all-time high, with 31% of the region’s children—around 400,000—living in poverty. The Principle Trust is working tirelessly to make sure these children have a chance at a fair, inclusive, and happy life. With six holiday homes, they help over 230 families each year, and they’re aiming to expand further in 2024 with a new holiday home on the East Coast.

Your support means the world to me and to the children we’re helping. Every penny donated goes directly to this vital work, thanks to The Principle Trust’s 100% donation policy. Please consider sponsoring me in this grueling challenge and help make a real difference in the lives of Yorkshire’s most vulnerable children.

Thank you for your support!

Best wishes,
Chris
