Taking inspiration from the recent Tokyo Olympics and the wonderfully eccentric Captain W Evans, former patron of the Cleveland Pools circa 1867, a highly skilled team of local athletes will be embarking on a most arduous and demanding day of sporting events designed to challenge the Olympiad to the extreme, all whilst attired in period costume.
Imagine if the Olympics were born in Georgian Bath rather than Athens. This is probably what they would have looked like!
On the 2nd September 2021 the competitors will endure a variety of incredibly demanding sporting events such as Punting, Croquet and Boules interspersed with a 10km mystery hike around the beautiful (but quite hilly)  city of Bath.
The event will culminate in a grand promenade along Great Pultney St, bonus points will be awarded for the most stylish courtesy, bow and doffing of hat.
Some recognition of the enormous effort and sacrifice made by this small band of elite Olympians in search of sporting excellence would be most appreciated by the Cleveland Pools Trust.
