I will be Climbing Mount Snowdon in honour of my late friend Dan. Sadly he lost the battle to mental health recently and myself and countless others are absolutely heartbroken by his passing. He toched the lives of many and will never be forgotten. Me and Dan met in Phase 2 of basic training at Gibraltar Barracks, we had both seen a log truck driving by on a near by road and simultaneously said "log truck!" after which we both looked at each other with the realisation that we had just become best friends. Me and Dan went on to completing our training together and ended up being based on the same base which meant our antics and mischievious escapades could continue. We were always with each other and we did literally everything together. We were often mistaken as brothers, which in a way we were. I loved him like a brother thats for sure. The last time i saw Dan was the weekend before his passing. We were going on a pub crawl in the local town and the following morning we had gone to the local spoons for a chippy and hangover beer. On the way back to his we'd stopped off at a corner shop for our favourite drink ( can of monster ) and stumbled upon magazines which had little mini lego sets attatched to them. We got back to his from the shop and straight away tore into the lego sets and had built them within minuites (we both loved lego and other things like that). Thats the last adventure we shared together and that little lego set that we built one each of i will hold dear and treasure deeply for the rest of my life as it was our last memory together.
