Mental health is being talked about so much more these days and quite rightly so! But sadly, it still carries such a stigma. The only way to change this is to normalise it as much as we can. Don’t hide your suffering, talk about it. It’s ALWAYS good to talk. I have battled with my mental health for a long time now and like many others, have lived through some dark times. For years, I searched for a way through but could never find one. But earlier this year, I found one – Fortitude Flow. They introduced me to a whole new world - the world of cold water swimming and everything that comes with it. Cold-water swimming has so many benefits untrue. Fortitude Flow is a course offered by Fortitude Wellbeing to support people, who are suffering with their mental health. They were able to offer a course at a discounted rate because of fundraising; I would love other people to be able to have the same opportunity. It really did turn my life around. So, what will I do? Every week, from the beginning of November to the end of March, I will go for a swim in cold water with no wetsuit. Chilly Tits With Baltic Bits! Wish me luck!
