This equipment will be available to our community all the time the library is open. So much now is on-line, from benefit information to further education courses and we think our community should have the resources to be digital citizens.

The aim of this project is to provide the library with fast wifi broadband for the use of own computers, but also to upgrade the existing computer equipment by adding tablets, laptops and a smart tv screen for presentation and training purposes.

We have now raised just over £3600 to fund this new equipment. We have new laptops and tablets plus a projector and screen for presentations and a film night for our community. We are a rural community and to be able to pop to our local library to see the latest dvd has been a huge success. With this and our new computers Freshwater Library is truly a central resource bringing our community together.
