We have already started training our first 'pilots' and they will shortly be qualified to take 2 passengers out for rides along the seafront pathways of Cowal - our introductory rides have been hugely successful and all passengers and 'pilots' have enjoyed chatting to each other and passers-by and feeling the 'wind in their hair'

We began our Cycling without Age Scotland project in June 2019 with the delivery of a sepcially adapted Trishaw which we will use to help older people (and others) enjoy the outdoors in a sociable and community-based setting.

We plan to work with our Cowal Elderly Befrienders clients intially and develop the project, ultimately providing access to those in local care homes though the input of trained volunteers. We have already seen the benefits of the project across the country through close working with Cycling without Age Scotland and are hopeful that our work will provide another exciting opportunity for older people in our area.
