We plan to hold 12 workshops to give Swansea children and young people hands-on experience of making apples juice from locally grown fruit. These workshops will be held at Coeden Fach Community Tree Nursery in Clyne Gardens and have been extremely popular with children in the past. After attending a workshop, one child commented, "this has been the best day of my life!". Children will also  learn about growing apples by visiting an orchard of heritage Welsh varieties close to Coeden Fach. 

 

Cyfoeth Y Coed will supply apples from their annual harvest. These will be cosmetically blemished, but otherwise undamaged, fruit that would otherwise be wasted because of their appearance.
