Every week in the UK, around 84 men die by suicide — that’s one every two hours. Men’s suicide remains the single biggest killer of men under 50. Many of these tragedies stem from men feeling unable to open up or seek help when they’re struggling.
Men’s Minds Matter is a charity dedicated to preventing male suicide and promoting psychological well-being. They focus on early intervention, raising awareness, and developing resources to help men understand and manage their mental health before reaching crisis point.
For me, this cause is deeply personal. I’ve faced my own battles with mental health — times where I felt trapped, unable to talk, and completely alone. It’s a dark place that too many men know all too well. Running this 10K is my way of turning that struggle into something positive — a step forward not just for me, but for anyone who’s ever felt like they couldn’t speak up.
By supporting this fundraiser, you’re helping Men’s Minds Matter continue their incredible work, reaching men before it’s too late and reminding us all that it’s okay to talk, and it’s okay to ask for help.
