On the 2nd October 2022 I will be running the London Marathon to raise funds for Readipop - an incredible local charity that has done so much for my son Siôn and many more young people like him through their excellent music programmes.
This will be my 3rd London Marathon and due to worsening arthritis quite probably my last :-(
So, in order to go out in style, I've decided to run it in fancy dress and also attempt to beat an existing world record.

Why a Mariachi Musician?
Well the origin of my surname is Spanish and as such is quite common in Mexico. There is even a Solis mariachi band in Mexico and Javier Solis was a famous mariachi singer and actor of the Solis clan. I also wanted a costume that was music related as I will be raising money for Readipop.
