I’m running Bedford Half Marathon on Sunday 7th September for Embrace because they’ve been by our side since Sophie was just 2 years old.

Sophie absolutely loves going to their Skool’s Out Club during school holidays and JJ’s Crew on Saturdays once a month. These give her the freedom to enjoy activities other children take for granted — like shopping and hanging out with friends — knowing she’s in the safe hands of staff who are fully trained in all her care needs.

For Sophie, it means independence. For us as parents, it means peace of mind.

Embrace has also been there for the whole family — with wellbeing support, family events, and opportunities for her brothers to join in too. We’ve met other families who understand our journey, which has been a huge source of comfort and connection.

Every mile I run is a thank you for everything they’ve done for Sophie and for us as a family. 🏃‍♀️
