Hello,
My name is Davie and recently I have really suffered with mental health, and struggling alone is not a nice feeling. It’s isolating, lonely, draining, upsetting and keeping quiet can be fatal.
In 2023, suicide rates for males (17.4 deaths per 100,000) and females (5.7 per 100,000) increased to their highest levels since 1999 and 1994, respectively. (Source: Census).
In order to tackle mental health and to help others who may be suffering with mental health and to raise awareness about Men’s Mental Health, I will be setting myself a challenge. To run as many KMs in April as possible, by running daily either by getting outdoors or using a treadmill at the gym.
If I hadn’t spoke up about how I was feeling, I can honestly say I would be suffering and a lot worse than I am now.
It would be great if you could donate anything as little as £0.50 but I understand these days things are tough and would even be very appreciative of just sharing this page to spread awareness about this silent killer.
Thank you for your support and generosity,
P.s. I will keep you all updated with my journey on my social media.
Davie.
