Please sponsor me and help raise funds for Reaching Families and their work empowering families of children and young people with special educational needs (SEND) and disabilities in West Sussex.

Having a child with SEND can bring you face to face with many different challenges. For the child themselves and the whole family. I started working for Reaching Families 9 years ago because it was a cause very close to my own heart.  Being a parent-carer myself I have experienced so many challenges throughout the years, so working for a charity that supports parent-carers has been a real privilege. I love my job and seeing the difference that Reaching Families makes every day for families,  through local support groups, training, information resources, advice around benefits and other support services they offer.

I have wanted to do a fundraiser for some time but there hasn’t been anything I felt confident or able to do. I have recently started swimming again and decided this could be my challenge! I am planning to swim 10km throughout the month of March and would love it if you could sponsor me! This will be a total of 400 lengths of my local pool.  If you could spare just a little bit to encourage me along the way and in turn raise some money for this wonderful charity I would be so very grateful!
