SPACE is a local charity working across Hertfordshire and surrounding counties. SPACE empowers and supports the families of children and young people who are neurodivergent (autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, Tourette’s Syndrome and other neurodiverse conditions) and the professionals who work with them.

I am lucky enough to have a wonderfully neurodiverse daughter Emily who is dyslexic. Due to her neurodiversity in a world of predominantly non neurodiverse people, Emily finds herself having to work twice as hard as everyone else. Emily also struggles with anxiety, and as a family we are all learning everyday how best to live our best lives together. In the last 12 months we have found the webinars and in person sessions SPACE provide, very supportive and helpful as we and especially Emily navigate the world around us.

Everything SPACE do is designed to help families navigate local services, build confidence and resilience, share knowledge and enjoy social opportunities and activities where everyone can ‘be themselves’.

SPACE promotes inclusion, reduces isolation and empowers families and young people to live their best lives.
