About

Exeter Community Initiatives needs your help.

The Coronavirus lockdowns have rendered millions homebound – physically isolated from family, friends and the rest of their community. For some it's a temporary setback. Unfortunately, for the families and individuals we serve, it is a situation they know all too well. For those living on the streets of our local towns it is even worse, with services and access to shelters curtailed due to “social distancing” guidelines. This is is why the work of ECI is so important. ECI makes a real difference to our clients / beneficiaries. Now more than ever, they need ECI to be there for them.

This year our project teams have been forced to change the way they deliver our services - reaching out by phone to the people we serve, ensuring their safety, assessing their needs, and reassuring them that they have not been forgotten by our community. Although COVID-19 forces us to change the way we operate, in no way will we allow it to change our commitment to our mission. Now more than ever, ECI's work is on the front-line of fighting social exclusion.

If you can, please make a gift in support of our work.  ECI depends on donations to deliver our services. While we have grant and contract income, these are restricted in how they can be used. Now more than ever, we need flexibility in order to adapt to the current needs. A donation of any size is always hugely appreciated, but a one-off donation of £25, £50, or £100 can provide an immediate boost to our work. If you are able to give more, so much the better!  Now more than ever, your support of our cause will make a difference in getting vulnerable people’s lives back on track and helping our community recover.

I am humbled by the support our friends have given to ECI and the team. On behalf of the members of our community who will benefit from your generous support – now more than ever, thank you for being there.
With best wishes Tim Goodwin Chair, ECI Board of Trustees

About The Armchair Challenge

With the pandemic, I did not get to do a bike ride "challenge" this past year. Instead, I am embarking on this Chair's Challenge... or rather "armchair challenge". From my armchair to yours, please consider making a donation! I hope to be back in the saddle for a bike challenge in 2021 Tim
