We need your help to support disadvantaged people and revitalise a neglected town-centre woodland. We are raising money to fund a vital program that will provide education, nature connection, and mental health support to approximately 750 disadvantaged people per year, and provide the local community with fun activities, open events, horticulture, permaculture and sustainability education and plant sales.

Challenge: Lack of nature-based mental health services for disadvantaged people.
A donation will enable us to run a vital service supporting people in Ipswich. Using successful experience, our professional team will use a comprehensive set of mental health initiatives to support the needs of service users whilst expertly teaching participants skills in woodwork, horticulture, and forestry. We will focus on supporting people living in poverty, those with mental ill health, and those living with a life-limiting illness such as cancer. On completion, the transformed green space will continue to be a hub for participants, their families, and the local community, offering a space for contemplation, education, and community activities.

Challenge: Habitat loss for our native wildlife.
Your donation will enable us to transform the once wasteland into a haven for wildlife with a large wildlife pond, dead-wood piles, plants that will encourage pollinating insects, and many areas that will be vital habitats for all native wildlife.

Challenge: Climate change
Your donation will help the ECOgarden to sequester the maximum amount of carbon. We will achieve this by educating about and implementing a unique community composting system. We will create our own soil and eliminate the use of all synthetic fertilisers, which are carbon intensive, teaching the community how to produce their own naturally. The garden will provide edible and valuable crops for the community, release nutrients to benefit the soil and increase and sustain wildlife biodiversity whilst acting as a hub for learning healing and connecting communities.
