Dunoon Community Shed purchased its building in October 2023, adding 5,500 square feet to its existing area. This new space is being developed for activities serving the community and we have spent the last year repairing and starting to build out the building.

One of the spaces we are building is a large multi-purpose room (6m x 7m) for meetings and talks, martial arts and exercise, We already have a martial arts group keen to get in and use the space and we also plan to have seated exercise sessions for older people.

We received £1,000 from Age Scotland towards this building but we need more to complete the project. The first stage of construction is underway but we still need to install electrics, install floorcovering, and buy furniture; particularly stacking chairs.

We consulted with the community several times over the last three years and there was a strong demand for this kind of space. If you are able to help us complete the project, we would be most grateful. Other parts of the Shed development will be publicised soon.
