Fat Gay Vegan walking for Made in Hackney

I am walking (NOT running!) for charity.

I am joining the Made in Hackney Veg Dash on October 15, 2022 for a 5-mile course to raise money for charity!

First things first, I know the distance of this charity dash isn't a massive distance but I am not the fittest person. I haven't done a continuous, sustained 2-hour walk for a long time so it kinda feels like a commitment for me.

So why am I doing it if walking long distances is not normally my thing?

I am walking for Made in Hackney because poor and working class people in London are suffering financially. Made in Hackney is a charity that cooks nutritious plant-based food and delivers directly to people in need. They feed at-risk and vulnerable Londoners, people often marginalised for multiple reasons on top of finances including refugee status, lone parenting, longterm illness, unemployment, and mental health.

The cost of living crisis is hitting hard in the UK and Hackney is home to some of the poorest and in-need humans in the country. I am walking to make a difference and I hope you can help me reach my target.
