I have always said I want Emily to have the ability to say ‘’no’’to anything in her life that does not bring her happiness.  But on the 20th October 2024 I also want her to Skydive from an altitude of 10,000ft & then free fall for 30 seconds to both raise money for a local charity I am passionate about and show she has the courage to stand up for others. The ‘’others’’in this case are VOICES, a small charity  dedicated to providing recovery support and advocacy for people in the Bath area affected by domestic abuse.

The Skydrive is more likely to be a case of ‘’feel the fear and do it anyway’’ putting her horribly outside her comfort zone rather than bringing her happiness,  BUT it will raise much needed funds for VOICES, who like many small charities without local authority funding, are on the brink of navigating hard times.  VOICES is almost entirely funded by charitable donations and awards from Trusts and Foundations (plus some government grants) so any money you can donate will be really appreciated. Given I am not insurable and can’t skydive myself, I have taken on the task of setting up a local giving page on Emilys behalf.
