As most people know, Frankie uses BSL signs to expressively communicate. For her challenge she is going to be learning 70 brand new signs (ones we haven't used before). She is planning on doing this over the whole year, learning a few new ones each month and posting her progress on mum's socials.
She is raising this money for the Bedfordshire and District Cerebral Palsy Society (BDCPS), who are celebrating their 70th year this year and aiming to raise £70, 000 over the year. This is a fantastic local charity who provides groups, holiday clubs, days out and family support for disabled children and their families in Bedfordshire. Frankie attends their weekend club once a month and the holiday clubs - she absolutely loves her time with her friends, the staff and volunteers at these amazing play schemes. Without the BDCPS, Frankie wouldn't have access to this type of provision, which is so important to her social development, independence and development. Frankie's CP can sometimes make signing with accuracy quite difficult, so please bear with us as we learn the new ones - and please send through any recommendations for sign to learn!!
