Bath Half for a fairer community

They deliver expert advice and support that changes lives for people who would otherwise suffer in silence.

Training a new supervisor to deal with core service requirements at the charity costs £6000 and I would really appreciate your making a contribution to this goal.

Why is this charity necessary to the community of Bath and North East Somerset?
Every year, their volunteers and supervisors help around 8000 people across the district to handle multiple complex issues, such as debt management, benefit applications, housing and employment issues, mental and physical health problems, and immigration and family concerns.

Why is the money needed?
Bath and North East Somerset has not been immune to the effects of austerity and many who are not shielded by wealth or advantages are suffering. This local, independent charity has also suffered, with their funding being cut and that increases the risks for 8000 people a year spiralling into worse situations.

I want to ensure that Citizens Advice - Bath and North East Somerset can continue to deliver their expert service and I hope that you will help me to do that.

Please note, if I am unable to finish the Bath Half marathon due to sickness or injury, I will endeavour to get someone else to run in my place. If that is not possible, I will run a different half marathon when I am able to do so. Whether the target of £1000 is reached or not, all donations will be donated to running the core service of Citizens Advice - Bath and North East Somerset.
