I am awaiting a knee replacement but recognise there are so many people with far greater issues than I have! I have therefore decided to cycle 300kms during the month of March, using my home exercise spinning bike! I have seen, at first hand, the langar seva work of the SCCYC, feeding the homeless, and providing food via foodbank for over 300 families, and this is, without exception, unconditional and selfless, as is the gifting of welfare packs by The Lewis Foundation for cancer sufferers under treatment at any of the ten hospitals they are now supporting! I haven't been homeless thankfully but have lost three, fantastic women over the years to cancer - my mum, June, passed in 1980 with lung cancer, and my brother's wife, Janette lost her battle with ovarian cancer some four years ago, and only two years ago my mum-in-law, Beatrice, who I had become to know as "mum", passed away following brain cancer! I would ask that you support these two great causes, different in what they do, but equal via both being unparalleled in their spheres of making life a tad easier at a difficult time. #GMB-is-GivingBack
