In 2012 my nephew George who had Cerebral Palsy died at the age of 9. In memory of him and to help others like him we started George's Marvelous Bike Ride as an annual(ish) charity ride to raise money for youngsters with Cerebral Palsy and the charities/organizations/groups who do so much to enhance their lives.
This will be the sixth year that the bike ride has taken place – unfortunately due to foot surgery my wife and youngest will be (literally) sitting this one out (it's ok the little one did not have foot surgery too!!). So it will be down to my 7 year old who shocked us all last year by cycling the 23.5 miles unaided (and only in one gear – not sure where she gets her stubbornness from!!) AND my son who has mastered riding on holiday and is going to attempt the whole thing
This year’s funds will be going to Stepping Stones - the West Wilts Specialist Centre for pre-school children with special needs
