We need your help to raise important funds to make improvements to the visitor centre at Gilfach, so that it can become a valuable community space which is used more regularly and can benefit everyone! This will ensure that people can continue to connect with the wonderful wildlife and rich history of this reserve.
"I love this place and will always visit when I am in the area. It just feels special." Emma, Google Review
It's a special place...Gilfach Nature Reserve is a spectacular nature reserve tucked away in the Marteg Valley in the heart of rural Mid Wales. Gilfach was purchased by Radnorshire Wildlife Trust back in 1988, then the next few years were spent renovating the longhouse and barn; restoring the ancient field boundaries and developing a management plan that puts wildlife at its heart. Today, Gilfach remains our flagship nature reserve, visited by 12,000 people a year.
