Hi, I’m Graham Carney, proud patron of The Principle Trust Children’s Charity.

On 10th May 2026, I’m lacing up my running shoes and taking on Leeds Marathon to raise funds for a charity that means a great deal to me and my family.

The Principle Trust Children’s Charity helps to change lives by providing free respite holidays for children across Yorkshire facing adverse childhood experiences such as: mental health challenges, poverty, trauma, abuse serious illness or disabilities. For many of these families, time away together is something they could never afford, yet it can make a world of difference. The Trust’s holiday homes in the Blackpool, Filey and the Lake District give families the chance to rest, reconnect, and make special memories that last a lifetime.

As a father, I know how precious those moments are, time to simply be together, away from the challenges of daily life. Every step I take and every mile I run will be for those children and families who need that chance to smile again.

Thanks to their 100% donations policy, every penny I raise will go directly towards funding these much-needed family breaks, ensuring more children can experience joy, freedom, and hope.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, truly makes a difference. Together, we can help The Principle Trust continue its incredible work and bring happiness to families who need it most.

Thank you so much for your generosity and encouragement, and joining me in my mission of making memories that last.
