Home Start Teesside is a charity that I am involved with as a trustee and also a fund raiser.

This charity focuses on supporting young children and their familes with the aim to give them the best start in life, we know that a happy and fullfiling childhood gives every person the best possible chance to grow and succeed in life. The monies I raise go directly to supporting the work of the team and so make a real and lasting impact in the local community (Home-Start Teesside).

Last year I completed the Middlesbrough 10k to help raise funds and this year I'm going for a bigger event, the 'Great North Run'. My hope is to raise funds but also to inspire people to step up and support small local charities that give so much to our communities.
