Greg's 5k run for Money A+E's Community Fund

Hi, my name is Greg, and I will be fundraising for Money A+E's Cost of Living Crisis Appeal by walking/running 5km in the Money A+E Walkathon 28th May 2022!

I am fundraising for this cause because I have been in position of financial crisis and close to declaring personal bankruptcy. So, I know how it feels to be stressed, ashamed and boxed in a corner that you feel at the time you cannot escape from. By supporting me, you support the Community Fund which will be used to help combat the financial despair faced by many individuals and families in local communities during this cost-of-living crisis. People are struggling to keep their heating & lights on, put food in their cupboards. or use basic transport to travel from A to Z.

We provide Emergency grants for households in the most severe financial hardship. Money A+E provides grants of £100-350 to help cover essential food and utility bills in a time of crisis.  Financial education workshops that build long-term financial resilience for individuals and communities.

There is a cost-of-living crisis happening right now in our communities.

Food and rent price rises are rising far beyond wages. Average energy bills have risen by an incredible £700 per year. It is low-income households who will feel this pain the hardest.
 
We cannot let people struggle alone. We must act now. #HeartOfTheCommunity
