As some of you know I have been training all year to get to the start line of Ultraman UK - an ultra distance triathlon which will see me have to swim 6 miles (10km), cycle 250 miles  (400km) and then run 52 miles (82kms and yes that it 2 full marathons). I have had a great trainer who has been getting me physically ready and my fiancé, Charlotte has encouraged and most importantly nourished me over here past months of training. I have been reluctant to ask for donations but several people have asked so here we are - I have been inspired by the work done by the volunteer mountain and cave rescue teams across the world and would like to raise money for a similar organisation who help a large number of people in North Wales which is where my event is taking place.  If you can help then I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance, Rich How the funds will be used?  NWMRA is the umbrella organisation who assists all 6 North Wales mountain rescue teams with making sure they are standardised in clothing, equipment, vehicle, training and courses. As well as communications. Some teams manage to fund themselves very well - mainly due to their location - where others are struggling to get enough donations to clothe a small number of team members.  It is vital that all team members can work to the same standards and are interoperable. Big operations such as the April Jones search is a good example. So we, as an organisation, meet regularly with Officers who are responsible for training/training courses, equipment and clothing, communications - we need to upgrade our radios in the very near future - this is a huge demand on the teams' funds. The list goes on...
