Hetal's Sahara Trek 2023

I am raising money for Nugent and going on an epic 100km challenge across the Sahara Desert! Departing on 12 November 2023, I will embark on a 7-day adventure, trekking through stunning desert landscapes by day and camping under the stars at night. 
I am raising funds for the Community Outreach Projects.  This will raise money for our crisis fund to help local families who are living in extreme poverty.  We are connected with various schools across Liverpool who often make referrals to Nugent for application of funds for children and families who are in urgent need of basic essentials.  As the cost-of-living crisis continues, many families are struggling to purchase these basic items which includes beds, school uniforms, washing machines and more. Nugent works at the heart of some of the hardest hit communities in the Northwest and as such we are keenly aware of the pressures disadvantaged families and individuals face. The crisis fund allows us to help people in crisis directly and quickly, giving families and young people the support, they need.
