Down the rope of hope

I am raising money for the amazing George’s Rockstars, who have helped children during their stays in hospitals across the south coast. George’s Rockstars was set up in memory of 6 year old Gorgeous George. Their mission is to make children in hospitals smile through the power of music therapy. Providing moments of musical happiness for children and their families is such a welcome distraction. 

As a team of abseilers we are supporting our friend Dani, whose son Nuno was diagnosed with a form of Leukaemia called AML.  Nuno spent months isolated in hospital, but was able to receive music therapy from George’s rockstars, it was the highlight of Nuno’s week. 

Nuno and his family have been so brave and I am hoping to channel some of that bravery come the 11th May, when we fling ourselves over the edge and descend down the Spinnaker.
