On Thursday 9th October, a fantastic team from Dacre, Son & Hartley, joined by colleagues from Simply Conveyancing, Mortgage Advice Bureau, and Kempston Parkes Surveyors, will lace up their boots for a meaningful 16-mile charity walk along the stunning Leeds to Liverpool Canal.
But that’s not all… while walking, another brave colleague will be taking on an even bigger challenge: cycling the entire Liverpool to Leeds canal route (127 miles!) in just one day. The aim? To cross the finish line in Leeds at the very same time as the walking team.
It’s a race against time, distance, and energy – and it’s all to support The Principle Trust Children’s Charity.
The Trust provides free, week-long respite holidays for children across Yorkshire who are facing serious challenges such as:
Trauma or abuse
Poverty or disadvantage
Mental health issues
Serious illness or disabilities
These breaks are far more than just a holiday, they’re a lifeline. They offer families time to heal, reconnect, and make joyful memories away from the hardships of daily life.
Every mile walked and cycled brings us closer to our goal, but we need your support to make the effort count. Please donate whatever you can – your generosity will keep us moving when the miles get tough!
Our goal was £3,000, enough to fund five full family holidays. We achieved this before our charity trek, so we're pushing ourselves to see if we can support another family in need, by raising a further £600.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us reach another child in need.
Please support our team by donating today and sharing our journey. Together, we can change lives, one step, one smile, one family at a time.
