Hope and Reggie, my dogs, will be walking 8km on the 29th May as part of the Pro Dogs Direct Woof & Walk fundraising event.
Hope was rescued at 10 months with her leg broken in 2 places. She had been severely mistreated and did not trust anyone. Unfortunately there was nothing we could do about her leg so it had to be amputated. 4 years on and she loves life and people completely. Reggie was also a rescue that was saved from having his ears illegally cropped.
I have volunteered fostering dogs for Prodogs for the past 2 years. All my own dogs are rescues and I see first hand how many dogs PDD help, including how huge their vets bills are. The fact that it’s run solely by volunteers trying to help as many dogs as possible is testament as to PDD and why we would like to raise some money for them.
