On 19th September 2021, Ian Bailey and Hannah Wall will be cycling the 53 mile race from London to Brighton in aid of Erase Meso, an asbestos charity. Based in London, Ian Bailey has been a partner at Irwin Mitchell for over 20 years and has dedicated his career since 1995 to supporting those affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases. Ian: “Hannah and I are very proud to be able to take part in the ride together with many others, to support EraseMeso to raise funds to support those diagnosed with the life-limiting condition, but also to raise awareness of the disease. It is so important to keep the issue high up the political agenda and we hope that with our efforts and support from donors, we will be able to ensure that the disease is not forgotten and raise much needed funds for research.” Hannah, who works as a solicitor in the Asbestos team at Irwin Mitchell with Ian said: Hannah: “I am incredibly excited to take part in the London to Brighton ride. I have only recently taken up cycling but have really enjoyed training for the race so far. Erase Meso is a fantastic charity that seeks to provide funds for vital research into Mesothelioma. Like Ian, I provide legal support to victims of mesothelioma and their families. I have seen just how devastating a mesothelioma diagnosis can be and that is why I am keen to partake in this challenge. It would be fantastic to raise as much money as possible for such an important cause.”
